I feel most like an artist when I am in nature, my senses stimulated by the changing light, colours, and architecture of the land. The beauty and drama of the Bay of Fundy region inspire me to capture these sensations in paint, which has led to the development of my intuitive style of painting. The scenes I choose are ones off the beaten path, many of which are only accessible during wilderness hiking trips. My style of painting merges the emotional and spiritual qualities I feel as I hike. These same feelings I work to evoke in my audiences, along with an appreciation for the intrinsic value of the remote, unique places so close to home.
